A Life Without Television

For the past 2 days I have lived my life without a television.  Insane, huh?  At first I walked around my house like a total zombie cursing the f'ing cable company.   I walked from room to room bitching and moaning as I straightened things out but after 30 minutes I was out of things to do.   I watched 3 movies in a row (New Moon, Ghosts of Girlfriend's Past and It's Complicated), changed a few diapers, fed Bella a few times and unfortunately dinner was being cooked in the Crock Pot so that was one less thing for me to do. 
Today was nice!  I stayed in bed a bit longer hanging out with Bella and Titan.  We got up and did a few of the usual things; diapers, food, blah blah!!  But everything was at OUR pace!!  We even jumped in the car and went for drive, came home and watched a movie and then went out for a walk!!  I never realized how much my life revolved around the schedule of my television shows.  It's horrible!  
8am-9am=news ( feed baby)
9am-10am=Oprah (check email and play with baby)
10am-11am= The View (baby sleeps and I shower)
11am-12am=News (Feed baby and exercise)
12pm-2pm= (Soap Operas)

You get the point.  How does one get such satisfaction by spending hours and hours day after day sitting in front of a box that spits out such crap! ha ha ha   Most of the shows I watch, with the exception of the news, is pure garbage!!  Not only do I feel more energetic and alive but I also feel like my days have gotten so much longer now!! I love it.
Unfortunately (sarcasm), the cable guy will be here in the morning to put me back on schedule! lol

Married 1 year

Jeff and I had our 1st wedding anniversary yesterday and we celebrated by spending the weekend in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin...alone!  We chose Lake Geneva mainly because it's only a little over an hour away and it would be our first time leaving Bella for more than a couple of hours.   The first night I cried my eyes out at dinner.  I felt so guilty and did not want her wondering why we weren't around.  I worried that she would feel abandoned.  A short phone call to my mother-in-law quickly put me at ease. 

This was a short but much needed getaway!  No matter where we are Jeff and I always have so much fun together.  Here are a few pics from our trip...

And this is only part of the reason why we couldn't wait to get back home!

24 hrs Off of Mommy Duty...My Mother's Day Gift

We all know this isn't completely true!  My gift was 24 hrs off of mommy duty.  My husband agreed to take care of everything from 8pm yesterday to 8pm tonight.  Well, I woke up for a bottle feeding at 5am...I was just afraid he wouldn't do it right and she'd up the rest of the morning.  I guess there isn't really a "right" way...just MY way! :)  I did, however, get to sleep in till 9:30am!!! It was surreal!  I kinda just staired at the ceiling thinking how wonderful it was.  I'm sure I will be putting in plenty of "mommy time" today..but that's ok, it's what I live for...and it's the thought that counts!
